Google Policy Fellowship Program 2018 for Sub-Saharan Africa. Google is pleased to announce the commencement of application for the Google Policy Fellowship for West Africa (Nigeria), Eastern Africa (Kenya, Tanzania), Southern Africa (South Africa, Zambia) and Francophone Africa.   Application Deadline: November 1, 2018. Successful applicants to the program will have the opportunity to work at public interest organizations at the forefront of debates on internet policy issues. They will be assigned a mentor at their host organizations and will have the opportunity to work with senior staff members. Fellows will be expected to make substantive contributions to the work of their organization, including conducting policy research and analysis, drafting reports and white papers, attending government and industry meetings and conferences, and participating in other advocacy activities. Background The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is currently accepting applications for its summer 2019 Science Communication Fellowship. The fellowship starts on 27 May and ends on 30 August. UNITED NATIONS OPPORTUNITY FOR FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS.  In 2015, all 193 United Nations member countries signed on to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to "create the future we want in 2030." SDGs&Her  is an online competition for women entrepreneurs to showcase how they are supporting the  Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through their business operations. The  objectives  of the initiative are to: recognize women implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including women business owners of microenterprises; increase knowledge about the SDGs and their potential impacts on women among non-traditional audiences; and collaborate with private sector partners on all SDGs, but SDG5 in particular; to share best practices and innovative ideas. INCLUSIVE DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Professional Fellows Program on Inclusive Disability Employment (PFP-IDE) supports 20 mid-career professionals (Fellows) from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, who are committed to advancing inclusive employment for individuals with disabilities.
