IIE's Heiskell Awards showcase the most innovative and successful models for developing and expanding international education opportunities in practice today. FULLY FUNDED UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL LAW FELLOWSHIP IN ADDIS ABABA. The application process for the 2019 United Nations Regional Course for Africa is now open. Application deadline: 22 October 2018. General information The United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa is organized by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in cooperation with Ethiopia, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the African Union. The Regional Course will be held at the facilities of the ECA in Addis Ababa, from 11 February to 8 March 2019. The Regional Course will be conducted in French. The Standard Bank Africa, Derek Cooper Scholarship marks the culmination of over thirty years of direction, vision and action attributed to Derek Cooper, a true South African business leader and former Chairman of the Standard Bank Group.  What the Standard Bank Africa, Derek Cooper Scholarship covers: The Scholarships will provide the tuition and college fee in full, and a maintenance grant (i.e. living costs incurred in the college such as rental of college accommodation, food taken in college, etc.) commensurate to the national minimum doctoral stipend of the UK Research Councils, and a travel and settling-in allowance.  The Standard Bank Africa, Derek Cooper Scholarship Selection process: The scholarships will be awarded annually beginning in the academic year 2016/2017, and the selection process will be managed through the University application process. You are not eligible to apply if you hold dual citizenship of which one is citizenship of a developed country. (N.B. If you have been awarded a Faculty for the Future grant and after the award you obtain citizenship of a developed country, the grant will be discontinued as of the date of such additional citizenship); - are preparing for a PhD degree or post-doctoral research in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The Hub is a multi-stakeholder initiative – with youth at its core – seeking to test new approaches to common challenges facing the AU & EU. Alumni Awards For All Those Who Passed Through a UK Higher Institution.  The Alumni Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of alumni and showcase the impact and value of a UK higher education. Award winners and finalists are leaders in their fields who have used their experience of studying at a UK university to make a positive contribution to their communities, professions and countries. Country of entry The Study UK Alumni Awards are open to alumni living outside of the UK only. Alumni must have studied: within the last 15 years (i.e. 2003 or later) enrolled at an officially UK higher education institution at degree level* or above either at a UK university in the UK, for a minimum of one term or semester, OR awarded a full UK degree level qualification (or higher), by a recognised or listed UK HEI, outside the UK.
